As a communal, performative workshop, GOTKA doing it’s best to balance it’s position between the formats. It is a performative space made to inspire the participants to empower themselves with what they already have at hand.
GOTKA listens carefully to the light, sound and space of each new place it inhabits, inviting the architectures and the spaces in between, their stories, dreams and memories for a dance together with the participants. Through a series of seriously relaxed absurdities, the experience transforms from a workshop-like sitting where the participants breathe together, massage and get massaged by each-other. The room slowly transforms into a more fictional environment where unexpected creatures appears, the breathing gets heavier and traditional baltic cold beetroot soup is made made and shared, culminating into a short dance party before we all part again.
