"Celies augšā, nāc man līdzi" is an exploration of religious archetypes, symbols and symbolism from the Gilgamesh epos and creation stories of Christianity and Judaism. A genesis myth that investigative power structures of relationships; how they are constructed and symbolised. How they are represented physically as well as psychologically and how we act within the frameworks they constitute.
In a dreamlike collage of mythological stories, "Celies augšā..." investigates how we simplify and conceptualise a world that predominantly escapes our understanding. How these simplifications and definitions remain unavoidable yet often annihilates the very thing they aspire to signify.
